Coco Animated Movie

Coco Animated Movie, movie, Pixar, coco

Pixar's new animated movie "Coco" is about an aspiring young guitarist named Miguel (Anthony Gonzalez), a 12-year-old boy who is a big fan of Mexican guitarist Ernesto de la Cruz played by Benjamin Bratt. It shows his adventure in his journey to the Land of the Dead. This animation movie is Pixar's take on the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead.

The trailer was released on Wednesday and it shows Miguel sitting in front of a Day of the Dead altar for his late musical idol Ernesto de la Cruz. He watches a tape of de la Cruz performing and stares in admiration as the musician says, “I have to sing. I have to play. The music, it’s not just in me, it is me.”

The screen then goes dark and text appears reading: “We are all a part ... of those who came before.” Miguel then seems to discover that he is in fact related to de la Cruz, and a visit to the star’s grave during Day of the Dead takes him on an unexpected adventure.

“Coco” is set to be released in November 22.
